Varelas brother confident of presidential victory nixes PRD alliance

In the face of comments from political pundits; the brother of presidential candidate Juan Carlos Varela, says he is fully confident that Varela will win the 2014 race.

Deputy Jose Luis Varela , says he has full faith and confidence that his brother will win the without an alliance with the Democratic Revolutionary Party ( PRD) .

 José Luis said he does not share the position of those who argue that without an opposition the candidate of the ruling Democratic Change ( CD) , José Domingo Arias cannot be beaten.
 On the program "Bluntly", led by journalist Flor Mizrachi, he said the campaign of his brother has been solidified in recent months .
 He added that "our campaign has been going up and is positive", while the PRD candidate , Juan Carlos Navarro, has been declining, and Arias , whose campaign is based on works of the government and President Ricardo Martinelli , will eventually weaken .
 He said that CD are carrying out an aggressive campaign based on personal and family attacks, and in the long term it will do much damage to Arias.
 He predicted that CD only reach third place in the next elections , so he reiterated his confidence that proposals based on good and with a decent campaign , respect and debate the Panamenista’s willwin the Presidency of the Republic.
