Santo Tomas residents and interns strike

MEDICAL residents and interns at Santo Tomás Hospital have continued a strike called to protest the discounts applied to their salaries during the last work stoppage.

Maverick Guerra, a spokesman for the doctors, denounced the action by the government as "unjustified."

He said that at least 20 doctors have been impacted.
Ministry of Health officials have said that the discounts were due to "administrative errors" and said the situation would be rectified.
