Calls for 3 judges to resign multiply

DESPITE having filed the demand for protection of human rights by the pro -government Panama Avanza, various sectors of civil society , and lawyers unions insist that the president of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ ) , Alejandro Moncada Luna, should resign .

The Front for the Defense of Democracy , which brings together different political parties and social sectors , said through a statement that agreed to support all actions leading to the ousting from the Court of Moncada Luna and alternate judges Efren Tello and Gabriel Fernandez. Groups will picket the Supreme Court on Friday November 14. .

Edna Ramos , unionists Lawyers Movement , said the csll for Moncada Luna to relinquish his post , is because he violated the Constitution.
Meanwhile, independent presidential candidate Gerardo Solís, said the trio “must leave the Court."
The Third Chamber , in a decision of November 12, did not admit the claim By Avanza Panama and ruled this "is about matters of electoral” and filed the case, effectively overruling the previous ruling by Luna and the two substitute judges.
