No intention of closing National Institute – Ministry

PANAMA’S Ministry of Education ( Meduca ) has stifled speculation over the possible closing of The National Institute saying it had has no intention of shutting down the school.

 Instead, on Monday , November 11 Meduca invited citizens to read carefully a note by the Deputy Minister of Education , Mirna de Crespo and put it into context.

Meduca, said the note " only encourages the Regional Directorate to discuss options regarding the enrollment of National Institute seventh grade ."
He said that "they have received thousands of tips that have been channeled through the office of the deputy minister ."
"We respect the institutional structure within the Ministry of Education could impose a wrong decision without consulting with managers at the head of the regional education and campus ," said the statement.
The company also invited " the public and the media not to promote further speculation and uncertainty existing in the country."
