Pensions For 1964 Martyrs Up For Debate

A PROJECT to award monthly pension of a thousand dollars to the martyrs of January 9, 1964, a seminal day in the history of Panama will be discussed in upcoming special sessions of the legislature.

deputies will also be asked to ratify the new officials appointed to replace those who recently resigned their posts in order to run as candidates in the the 2014 general election.

The announcement was made by President Ricardo Martinelli on Sunday November 3.
