Berlsusconi gets a little bit of good news

SILVIO BERLUSCONI Italy’s former prime minister whose name surfaces regularly in reports of bribes allegedly paid to Panama officials. has finally received some good news from the Italian courts.

Reuter reports that on Tuesday, October 22 a court halved the amount of money he has to to pay to his ex-wife Veronica Lario.

The media mogul now has to pay 1.4 million euros (about $1.9 million) a month , according to a court ruling in the town of Monza , north of the country, sources close to the matter told Reuters .
Earlier this year, Berlusconi , 77 , called the committee of judges who gave the original ruling " comunistas y feminists " and appealed the decision.
The former prime minister has had little to celebrate since he was sentenced in August to four years in prison for tax fraud, which was commuted to one year under house arrest or community service .
Last month tried unsuccessfully to overthrow the Government of Enrico Letta, and on Saturday a Milan court ruled he could not hold public office for two years.
Veronica Lario was married to Berlusconi for more than 22 years and had three children with him. She filed for divorce in 2009 , accusing him of having a relationship with a girl of 17 years.
In June, Berlusconi was convicted of paying for sex to an underage prostitute at parties at his residence near Milan . His new girlfriend , Francesca Pascale , 28, said in September that the former Prime Minister has wanted to marry her since he noticed her as a teenager.
The bad news for Berlusconi is that Lario can appeal the new settlement, and Valter Lavitola. his former go-between with Panama President Ricardo Martinelli, will soon be back in court as international bribery scandals are investigated.
