Prosecutor named for PRD murder case

ARGENTINA BARRERA, Second Superior Prosecutor of the District of San Miguelito Argentina will be in charge of the murder investigation of PRD leader Juan Ramón Messina, who was shot to death Monday, September, 23.

 Barrera said that she could not give any details about the investigation at this stage, but she assured that it will be "objective and based on the facts."

Referring to statements by Messina's wife that PRD Deputy Raúl Pineda was responsible for the murder, Barrera said the process is at an early stage and she can't comment about that aspect of the case.
Public Ministry official Ramsés Barrera said that it is necessary to gather evidence at this point.
"The first thing that comes before making accusations is the collection of proof, which will tell us what happened," he said.
He said that the Attorney General will provide all the support, materials and human resources that are necessary to solve this crime.
