US role in new health centers

THE U.S. AMBASSADOR, Jonathan D. Farrar, participated in the inauguration of two health centers in the Guna Yala district, by Vice Minister of Health (MOH) Serafin Sanchez and local authorities.Ambassador Farrar with Kuna children at a clinic opening They were also accompanied by the Commissioner Frank Abrego, director general of the State Border Service (SENAFRONT). During the tour of the district. health centers were opened in the communities of Rio Sidra and Sugar River which will benefit more than 3,600 people.
 The opening of health centers was made possible by the collaborative efforts and commitment of several institutions, including the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Humanitarian Assistance Program of the Army of the United States of America.
 Ambassador Farrar said: that The bonds created and strengthened through these initiatives demonstrate the importance for the United States of supporting humanitarian activities and health that benefit the neediest communities of Panama.
