Regional leaders will meet Joe Biden in Panama

CENTRAL American leaders will meet in Panama with United States Vice President Joe Biden on Sept. 18, said Foreign Minister Fernando Núñez Fábrega on Thursday, September 5.

Nuñez Fabrega said seven leaders will attend the meeting. Honduras President Porfirio Lobo will not be present due to a meeting in Rome, but with Vice President María Guillén Antonieta de Bográn is expected to attend.

The event was discussed today at a meeting of foreign affairs ministers and other senior diplomatic officials today at Buenaventura resort in Coclé. Núñez Fábrega said the agenda will be determined by the attendees.
Biden will be in Panama for three days. and will visit the Panama Canal expansion.
