Seizure of goods from ex mayor Bosco

PANAMA’S Court of Auditors has ordered the seizure of goods from from the former mayor of the capital city,  for alleged irregularities of $615, 218 during his tenure.

Bosco, a member of the Panameñista Party whose term in office was plagued with missteps and accusations of cronyism had recently talked about a return to the political arena.

The seizure order, reports La Prensa was fixed in a resolution August 2, also extends to former general secretary of the mayor Jaime Barroso, and three companies that provided services to the city.
The decision came after an investigation by the Office of Auditors, based on an audit ordered by the Comptroller General of the Republic, Gioconda Torres de Bianchini.
Asked about the case, Vallarino said: "He who does not should not fear." Barroso claimed "political persecution".
The Comptroller General of the Republic, once again , chose to remain silent about cases of alleged government corruption.
"I cannot say anything I do audits. I can ot speak, because it pollutes the report and then the Attorney General cannot act," she said.
