$1 million tourism website cheap – Martinelli

The Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), by Solomon Shamah, paid $ 1 million to Pensanómica, SA for the design and administration of visitpanama.com, but an advertising company Paid less than $150,000 for the same service.

 

La Prensa reports that advertising company BB & M, SA paid $149,520. For the service in 2010.

The contract, which was seen by La Prensa also states that "the service must be billed and paid based on a monthly cost of $12 460, plus taxes.
However, on Aug. 19 while addressing the National Assembly, Shamah said the contract between the institution that owns and Pensanómica, SA had been inherited.
The president, Ricardo Martinelli, said Monday, August 1 that the payment by the ATP of $1 million to Pensanómica, SA is "cheap". "This is not a website. It is a complex project.
