Double Assassination on Corridor Sur killing grounds
PANAMA. The murder of Salvatore Cipponeri, 55,and his son Daniele 22 is the third family assassination in four years.
The bodies were found in the area of Llano Bonito exit of the Corridor Sur towards Tocumen.
The victims were shot in the face and body.
It is assumed that the perpetrator was on board the white Honda car where they were found father and son and that they has been “taken for a ride”
Salvatore 'Toto' Cipponeri, owned the King Pawn Shopand a liquor store, in the city of Colon,
Criminologist Severino Mejía, says the violence being experienced in the country will continue to increase if state policies are not created for public safety transcending the present efforts of government and implemented steadily.
He added that the Corridor Sur is a killing ground and 'cemetery' for the bodies, It is a problem that could be solved with the installation of lighting and permanent police patrols especially at night.
Among other incidents of corridor killings were an employee of the American Embassy and two female staff, one pregnant, of Deli Gourmet after a botched robbery.
