Presidential scandals are political attacks – Shamah
SCANDALS INVOLVING President, Ricardo Martinelli that are being alleged by the opposition are recognized by the public as "political attacks."
The statement came Sunday from Tourism Director Salomon Shamah, a close confidant of the president who faced his own problems when his US Visa was withdrawn after WikiLeaks allegations of money laundering.
"People realize that the vast majority of the scandals are political attacks, because they have started to see the country begin to change," said Shamah.
He said that the people will see the benefits of the projects completed by the government, and that will outweigh any negative attacks against the current administration.
TRAFFIC A SIGN OF PROGRESS
With respect to the discomforts that are being caused by the road works and the construction of the Metro, Shamah said that these problems will end soon but added a codicil that a city without traffic is a city without progress.
