Martinelli pounds media for ignoring changes
PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli whose administration has been criticized for refusing to speak to media has now gone on the attack because he claims they are not covering his ribbon cutting events.
On Friday, July 5, in David, Chiriquí he said “we will have to bring back St. Francis of Assisi, to perform a miracle to help the people who don't want to see that the country is changing."
According to Martinelli , there are people who don't want to see that there is a new country "which even a blind man can see."
The latest outburst of the president came during the delivery of the order to proceed with the rehabilitation of the water systems in La Concepción, Dolega, and Potrerillos.
Martinelli was also critical of the media for failing to cover several recent projects started by the government.
"I searched and did not see any coverage," he said. "Which is why I say even a blind man can see it."
On Thursday during a ceremony in Colón, the president also criticized the media for failing to report on the positive changes in the country.
