Internet and mobiles hit by power cuts

Power cuts on Saturday March 22 lasting in some cases over 10 hours, affected Cable & Wireless mobile phone and internet in  parts of the country.

The lack of electric power supply caused backup batteries to run out of power and thus interrupting the services.

Several communities in Arraiján, Vacamonte, Nuevo Arraiján and La Chorrera were by the lack of electric power throughout much of the day.
The services have been gradually restored once the electric power supply has been restored, said a press release from the company.
