Checks are waiting but diablos rojos lagging with documentation

If you were hoping to see the last of the diablos rojos on Friday, March 15, don’t hold your breath, or maybe you should, as they continue to belch black fumes.

A little less than four days remains until the government is supposed to take over the remaining bus routes operated but a number of owners have failed to turn over the necessary documentation required for them to receive compensation. "We are hoping that they bring us the completed documents, because we already have the checks to pay them," said  Minister of the Presidency Roberto Henríquez
The failure of some to turn over the papers could be because a number of buses have been operating without the required documents according  to Henríquez.
The remaining routes are Veranillo, San Pedro, Panamá Viejo, Alcalde Díaz, Chilibre, Auto Motor, Pacora, Concepción and Ciudad Bolívar.

There are 703 bus owners awaiting compensation. The transit agency ATTT has spent $20 million in compensation to the owners of the diablos rojos.
