Colon Broad Front negotiators have immediate solutions

The  Broad Front for Colón will present a series of proposals that would provide "immediate solutions" to problems in Colón at the dialogue on the future of the area.

 Front  leader Carlos Baltazar said that the proposals include the creation of a trust fund using revenue from the Colón Free Zone that would fund social projects. The group is seeking at least $200 million for that fund. "We have deserved this for 50 years," he said. The fund, which is also supported by the Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Users of the Colón Free Zone and other groups, would be used to make improvements in water and sewer services and housing..
