Panama launches national donor registry
Panama has launched a national donor registry for organ and tissue donations. But more donors are urgently needed and a program to promote the program will be organized.
All of us have what it takes to save lives, says the Panamanian Transplant Organization (OPT), which operates under the Ministry of Health.
The registry was formally launched on Thursday November 15. César Cuero, director of the OPT said that those who opt to obtain a donor card, will appear on a national data base. Certificates will be issued to those who have made the decision to become a donor.
