Traffic hell and potholes for Christmas
If you think the traffic is bad now, wait until December, and don’t expect the increasing number of potholes in the roads to be fixed anytime soon.
The gloomy pre-Christmas season news comes from the director of the Transit Authority (ATTT), Ventura Vega, who said on Saturday, December 10, that motoring for the public in December will be more traumatic this year. The usual Christmas rush will be compounded by road realignment works and other mega projects running in the capital city.
"The month of December will be more traumatic this year. We cannot run a deception because that’s how it will be, "said Vega.
He added that the growing number potholes on different routes in the metropolitan area will remain: "It is no use fixing the streets until all projects have been completed," the official said.
