More diablos rojos head to bus graveyard

Ninety-five percent of owners of diablo rojos on the Torrijos-Carter and Mano de Piedra bus routes have received their compensation checks and metro buses have taken over.

It took three attempts to satisfy the owners, but as they headed to the bank to deposit $25,000 for each of the mobile wrecks that were decommissioned from US school services, about 140 shiny new air conditioned Metro Bus units began operation. They cover the two sectors in the district of San Miguelito which will now benefit from cleaner air, less noise and a smoother ride.
The new service materialized after, a two week stint by the Transit Authority (ATTT) on the compensation packages for 370 owners of "Red Devils".
