Former Anati titling boss facing new investigation

Anabelle Villamonte, is once again sharing the spotlight with a land titling scandal.

The attractive former director of the government’s titling authority (Anati) first made unsavory headlines wih the land grab exposure in Paitilla although before her worls began to fall apat, she had happier times appearing  in public events with the Papadimitriu family in Penenome, and parading through the streets.

The piece of land, at Paitilla, formerly destined for a public figure close to the president, now belongs to the government and is being converted to a park at the beginning of the Cinta Costera, Villamonte is facing charges over the titling procedure.,Then she was embroiled in the Los Hombros scandal when as a lawyer, before getting her job at Anati, she was working with the Papadimitrius, and was involved in applications for titles, for over 54 hectares of land, some of which was protected. She was tried and aquitted along with other defendants, but the case has been appealed.
Now an official investigationhas been initiated by Attorney General, Jose Ayu Prado, to determine whether there were irregularities in the titles of over 9000 square meters in Punta Chame, which she authorized. Ayu Prado said the Aug. 3 research began after the disclosure of the case by the media.
All the incidents she has been involved in were uncoveredd by investigative journalists.
