Pirate bus accident spurs warning

The  injury of seven passengers in a pirate transport has been used as a warning signal by the new director of the Transit Authority (ATTT), Ventura Vega.

The use of  illegal transport means  risking becoming an accident victim  without adequate coverage he said on Friday July 27 and cited  an accident on Monday, July 23, when seven people were injured. Four were reported as stable and three others were seriously injured. The accident involved a pirate transport on the highway Arraiján-La Chorrera, in Hato Mountain.

Vega said that with the modernization of the transport system in the country, illegal options will disappear.
