851 arrested in May crime blitz
A police crackdown in May, netted 851 people wanted for criminal acts ranging from murder and armed assault, to contempt.
The Operations Department of the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) of the National Police arrested 851 people in actions that took place around the country.
The aim was to clear the streets tof anyone wanted for committing criminal acts. Of the total arrested, 238 had outstanding arrest warrants 546, transmission orders and 67 summonsfor offenses including, robbery, theft, murder, armed assault and contempt
