Phony cops copped by the real thing
Drivers near the village of Pacora on the weekend were subject to yet another police check by what looked like two officers of the Transit Authority (ATTT), but the timing was wrong.
Passing National Police spotted the roadblock manned by two men in uniform on the road leading to the Tataré community in the village.
They checked the IDs of the 26, and 49 year old “officers” who both carried identification cards accrediting them as officials of the ATTT.A further check with the Authority confirmed that it had not ordered a checkpoint in that sector of Panama and agents were sent to investigate.
In the meantime the phony cops got closer to the real thing and were arrested at the “check point”
