7 injured in Panama multi vehicle pile up

A multi-vehicle accident near Panama’s Rod Carew Stadium, injured seven and added to the city’s traffic woes on Tuesday, February 28.

The injured, described as stable, were taken to a Social Security Clinic in Bethania.

The incident involved 12 vehicles including an articulated truck on the way to the Centennial Bridge,  The pile up lasted from 7.30 to 9 am and Transit Authority staff diverted trucks that were heading into the capital, causing more traffic jams at the Bridge of the Americas 

Two two lanes of the road leading  to the capital by way Centenial Bridge  were closed for about an hour while the vehicles were removed.
