Two men in critical condition after condo explosion

Two of the workers injured in Wednesday’s explosion in the PH White tower on Avenida Balboa are  in critical condition in Santo Tomas hospital.

The technicians, who were installing a gas water heater suffered extensive burns are in intensive care and attached to mechanical respirators.

The owner of the apartment on the 21st floor is also in hospital, but her condition is not critical

Preliminary research by the Office of Fire Safety. Suggests the explosion was caused by the negligence of the technicians connecting the heatgr.

The head of the installation company, Paul Tunon, said  that there were deficiencies in the installation of equipment, because there was a gas leak and the technicians were not warned.
The flash point of the explosion, has not  yet been determined, according to Tunon, who said to wait to for the completion of investigation, involving experts from the Institute of Legal Medicine.
