Traffic snarl talks log jammed

Talks between Panama business leaders and government officials on traffic problems seem to be, like thousands of drivers, getting nowhere.

The Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee chairmanJorge Garcia, reported Tuesdayon the need for the Transit Authority (ATTT) to provide  a map indicating the routes and areas where the work of the Metro and road realignment will  most affect.

With that we can make the necessary decisions to try to minimize the effects, he said.

He said that authorities have said that once the decision of how to deal with vehicular traffic congestion has been made it will be implemented within three months.

The Director of Special Projects of the Ministry of Public Works, Carlos Ho said that next Tuesday  they will decide on a common proposal.
