Casino gambling up near 17% in first 10 months

Fueled by Panama’s runaway economy and increased tourism, gambling in Panama casinos jumped 16.9 % in the first 10 months of the year.

Betting totaled $1,264 billion  an increase of 16.9% compared to same period in 2010.

75% of bets some  $957.4 million were made on slot machines. and $238 million was spent on on table games.
