Panama’s Ancon Theatre Guild (TGA) celebrates its 61st Christmas this year and as with the jolly fellow with the rosy cheeks the white beard and the red suit, the years fall away as December 25 nears.
Christmas is a time for friendliness and jollity. The TGA has handed out large helpings of both over the years and 2011 is no exception.
On Saturday December 10 the guild will present its Annual Christmas Gala at the Ancon Theatre. There will be only one performance, which means limited seating, so even if you a shop till you drop warrior, give yourself a break, , move fast and book your tickets.
It is the last chance to meet your theatre going buddies on the porch 2012 to exchange seasonal greetings and maybe raise a glass or two.
There you will enjoy carolers, participate in an auction, meet the performers who have entertained you throughout the year and get to discover the exciting and expanded 2012 schedule.
You will get a backstage pass to see ‘‘where “the magic happens”
It’s also a last chance to get a souvenir decorated LED candle… the kind that were waved with such vigor at the Carols By Candlelight event on Saturday last. A perfect stocking stuffer and you will be contributing to the Fundacion Calicanto to aid women and children in San Felipe.
The show, which runs from 7 to ll pm is free to members. Others make a donation of $15, which for four hours of entertainment and bonhomie is a pretty good seasonal gift,
