Operation thirst quench bringing water to hospitals, residents

Operation thirst quench, bringing back memories of last year’s long reliance on tankers for delivering potable water, is back in force in Panama City.

The Water and Sewage authority (Idaan), the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) and contracted companies began delivering water from  the Miraflores treatment plant on Tuesday November 22.

The tanks, een previously certified by the Ministry of Health will be delivering water fit for human consumption to the following points: Villa Las Fuentes, Betania, La Gloria, El Bosque, Dos Mares, La Alameda, Los Angeles, El Dorado, Linda Vista, Altos de Miraflores, Limajo, and Altos de Panama Limajo.

Water will also be delivered Hato Pintado, El Bosque, Los Andes 1 and 2, Villa Lucre, Parque Lefevre, Rio Abajo, Pedregal, ConcepciónCiudad Radial,Tocumen, 24 de Diciembre, Parque del Este, Ciudad Belén, Las Mañanitas Torremolinos, Los Caobos, Santa Monica, Las Americas,  and Villa Daniela,

Hospitals, health centers and clinics will also get their water from tankers.
