Land grabbers lose out as state retakes titles
The 12 pieces of land in Juan Hombrón, Cocle, to which corporations got free title and the prime land in Paitialla, where the land grab scandal started have been returned to the State.
The word came from President Ricardo Martinelli, during the Los Santos celebration of the first cry of independence from Spain, 190 years ago. Martinelli said that farms and belong to the State of Panama. He said “They are in the Public Registry … so that these lands are immune.” However he said, the ruling not exempt anyone "if there is any fault, to feel the full weight of the law."
