City plans $900 thousand splurge on Cinta Costera villas
The Panama municipality plans to spend $900 thousand on its holiday villas project on the Cinta Costera says the mayor’s services manager Nadgee Bonilla.
Bonilla, who this week met with officials from the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) on the use of the coastal strip, said the budget will be maintained despite some government institutions withdrawing their support for the project.
”The MOP will give us the timetable and plans of the areas that we can use on the coastal belt," she said, although some construction teams are already working on road realignment for the third stage of the Cinta Costera extension.
The municipality is scheduled to begin installing the villas from November 15 However, they must first comply with MOP plans for the coastal strip and the areas available for carrying out the Christmas event.
