Metro bus users nostalgic for diablos rojos

It seems hard to believe that anyone would mourn the passing of Panama’s diablos rojos, but as flaws in the delivery of service by the new Metro buses arise,  some users are getting nostalgic

Recent, heavy rains have brought bitter comments from would be Metro passengers  complaining of  long waits for buses,  the lack of stops and especially the shortage of vehicles.

Their anger expressed in various media outlets led to a mia culpa from the operating company Mi Bus.

Ivan Posada, the company’s manager apologized on Telemetro Reports and took responsibility for difficulties in providing the service.

“We must look at the system at this moment, but  it is a gradual implementation process, which takes time and we have to make adjustments.

"We try to accommodate all  the  valid concerns of users, in order to keep improving the service,” he said.

Like President Martinelli, Posada called for  user  patience and understanding as Panama endures the process of reconstruction, and infrastructure development.
