100 dengue cases, 8 deaths

There have been eight deaths from dengue, the highest on record  since 1992,and over 100 cases of are still being treated.

The township of December 24 continues to be a hot bed  for the breeding of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits the often deadly disease

Dr Jorge Hassan  head of  theMetropolitan Health Region, said Monday that efforts to combat the breeding of continue but  the cooperation of the public is important. The Ministry of Health has already  invested $1,179,626 in spraying this year.
