Church leader calls for focus on issues concerning all
The Archbishop of Panama, José Domingo Ulloa Mendieta, sent a message to warring politicians on Tuesday that it is necessary to deal with problems that concern all Panamanians, like health and the rising cost of living.
The message came as the National Assembly is wrapped in struggles over changes to the constitution, and issues arising from an attempted Paitilla land grab by associates of the president, and the firing of the country’s Foreign Minister Juan Carlos Varela.
