What’s a $trillion or so between friends

If you are old enough to remember  when a million dollars was hard to visualize, you will have lived through the era when politicians and financiers  first  to mouth “billion”.

Now trillion (tn) has  become common  language currency. But can you visualize a $trillion?

In those earlier  days when a million meant something, an enterprising Canadian company,created a “million dollar “ tree, which was exhibited at the Canadian National Exhibition each year. You could actually see a million dollars in all their glory, pinned to its branches.

Recent photographs showing captured drug funds in Mexico show a home stacked with millions of dollars. But how much room would you need for a billion, a trillion, or the new debt ceiling of the United States?
