Metro subway projects cuts water for over 14 hours

Water supply problems returned to six communities in Panama on Thursday, August 4 when work on the metro subway damaged a 16 inch pipe.

The  communities were without drinking water for over 14 hours  after a pipe broke in a   trench north of Transístmica, at the the intersection with Fernandez de Cordoba.

Damage occurred at 4:30 a.m. leaving no water in   El Dorado, El Ingenio, Vista Hermosa, Pueblo Nuevo, Los Angeles and Miraflores.

Water service  was restored at 7 p.m.
