Panama sends condolence message to Norway
Panama joined nations from around the world that have sent messages of condolence and support to Norway, following the incidents on Friday, when at least 88 people died.
A press release said President Ricardo Martinelli “deeply regretted” the explosion of a bomb the center of Oslo, , which caused at least 7 dead and 15 injured, , and the attack soon after at a youth camp on the Norwegian Labour Party Utoya Island, where at least 81 young adults were gunned down by a right wing extremist.
Martinelli said that the Government repudiates all acts of violence aimed at civilians " “considered as an assault on human rights and peaceful coexistence of peoples, which is particularly true of the Kingdom of Norway , which traditionally has supported and promoted world peace.
“ The Panamanian government expresses its solidarity with the government and the Norwegian people.“
