Transstmica area driving woes get worse

If driving along  ViaTransístmica  where you are plagued daily by traffic jams, and regularly by road blocking demonstrations,  is your daily headache, worse is to come.

The Transit authority (ATTT) has been handing out flyers warning motorists to avoid using the route  due to work on the Metro subway system.

On Saturday, lanes heading into Panama City were closed off in the area near the Social Security office, the site of numerous protests.  There is also limited traffic allowed on Calle 12 de Diciembre because of road construction.

Fliers describe the changing traffic patterns but the ATTT says  the best way for is to use an alternate route.

Driving seems to be heading towards the perfect storm during the next two years.
