No more bread by the loaf in Panama

Bread in Panama will no longer be sold by the loaf starting July 13, Bakeries and stores will be selling bread by weight following a change in consumer protection laws.

 
Outlets will be  required to establish a system of measures to weigh the bread and sell it by kilos or pounds
 
The Consumer Protection Agency will take on the task of ensuring that the regulations are followed and that the weight and the price is
plainly visible to purchasers.
