WHAT THE PAPERS SAY:Whose running the country while the leaders are away?

La Prensa, May 28:  After the insult of leaving the country in suspense over the run off voting plan with strategies even  including  blackmail, the heads of the alliance, Ricardo Martinelli, and Juan Carlos Varela, are leaving on a "private trip" with their kids.

After a bitter and public dispute, they take a flight to be reconciled. It is complete nonsense that while they have fun, here in Panama we have to ask: Where did they go? Who is in charge of making decisions in their  absence? Where does the subject of the Presidency of the Assembly, stand?

Does this reconciliation mean that the run off election has the blessing of the leader of the  Panamanistas or had the CD waived this claim? Questions whose answers will have to wait until they return from  the mysterious journey. And what should we expect after their return?  "The happy ending to this unpleasant dispute? The country does not deserve such useless and unnecessary shocks.
