With Panama’s mayor Bosco Valarino continuing to keep a low profile, his advisor Jose Isabel Blandon made the announcement Wednesday May 18 and was long on promises, short on details
In the meantime traffic in many parts of the city is approaching gridlock as the government advances its infrastructure plans like the metro subway, and overpasses.
Major traffic problems have been forecast for at least the next two years and the constructions of parking facilities is expected to ease the strain.
The design of the parking lots, has not been defined but Blandon said that the number to be constructed would depend on their location the number of floors that could be built.
"We are talking of two or three floors and it will depend on how many parking stations there are," he said.
