$5 a gallon gas looming

If you use 95 octane gasoline in your car or truck, stand by for more glum news on Wednesday  May 4 when the government may announce another step towards the $5 gallon.

Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry Ricardo Quijano said that the government has not ruled out a price increase for 95 octane which has been at $4.50 since April 23.

On April 17, the government announced a 90 day

 freeze  on the prices of 91 octane gasoline and diesel.
