Diablos rojos slow Metro bus expansion

Another hiccup in the  expansion of the metro bus has arisen in  the communities of Mano de Piedra and El Valle, in the district of San Miguelito in the face of protests from "diablos rojos" owners.

The transport agency ATTT  has cancelled the newly introduced service to the communities this week, because  drivers of the diablos rojos organized protests against the service claiming  they have not been compensated by the government for turning over the routes.

In other areas, where the owners have received compensation up  to $35,000 per vehicle, routes are being monitored as some owners have carried on servicing the routes after being paid.

ATTT Director Jorge Ricardo Fábrega said that the compensation issue will be resolved and service will be soon be restored.

Meanwhile complaints are growing among riders about failed air conditioning services on the buses, which leave passengers  in  temperatures rivallng Turkish baths as there are no windows to open.
