$100,000 bail for official in drug trafficker scandal
A former high ranking member of the Attorney General’s office, charged with involvement in a plan to get drug traffickers preferential treatment has been granted bail.
Eva Lorenz, the former human resources director for the Public Ministry, was granted bail of $100,000 by a Criminal Court judge on Monday, February 28.
Lorentz was one of five people arrested in connection with a scheme that allegedly resulted in drug traffickers receiving preferential treatment from prosecutors in Herrera and Los Santos. She was charged in December.
