Panama’s ex tourism boss back in the movie business
Panama’s former tourism manager and award winning singer Rubén Blades is back in the movie business.
He will be appearing in “Safe House” an action thriller starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds and directed by Carlos Espinosa.
The actor-singer made the announcement at the Hay Festival in Cartagena, Colombia.
Blades recently finished his role in “Cristiada” a film about the Mexican Revolution in which he plays President Plutarco Elías Calles.
He is also busy recording two new albums, One will feature tangos with Argentine composer and arranger Carlos Franzetti; and the other, Spanish boleros with Paco de Lucia.
