Canal Minister goes U.S. shopping to solve water crisis

Panama’s Minister for Canal Affairs, Rómulo Roux, borrowed the presidential jet on the weekend for a $56,000 shopping expedition to help solve the water crisis.

Roux who chairs the inter-agency commission working on the  water problem, traveled to the United States on Saturday, January 15, to buy six dispensers.
The plane left for Georgia at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, , and returned to Panama at 12:10 a.m. yesterday, Sunday.
Roux is a busy man, as on Tuesday, at the annual Vision 2011 forum, he will be part of a four man team presenting expectations for Panama’s growth.
