Discounts and benefits for members of new Panama activity group

The logo chosen for the Panama's  CanadaPLUS Club holding it’s first celebration on January 6, has been designed to reflects the club’s “all inclusive” potential.

It shows a maple leaf, one of Canada’s national symbols (another is the beaver) overlaid with a “plus sign”. Plus means that membership will be open to all nationalities wanting to share in the year round list of activities planned by the club’s organizers.
Even the production of the design reflects the inclusive aims of the club. It was created by a Canadian, living in Australia (Megan-Myfanwy Young), for a Panamanian organization.
The club’s mandate will include providing a regular forum and enjoyable meeting venue for English speaking residents or visitors, and an opportunity to interact with the Panamanian community and other local organizations.
The first event a “Twelfth Night Revel,” celebrating the last night of Christmas, will be at the Roma Antica restaurant, on Thurday January 6. At 7 p.m when participants will be able to enroll as Founder Members giving them lifetime membership for the normal annual fee of $25 single, $40 double.
MEMBERSHIP DEALS
Each member will receive a club card giving a range of discounts on services and supplies from yachting and Spanish lessons to boat hire, exploration tours and riding instruction plus dining-out bonuses.
It will also include a free registration search for those considering purchasing real estate.
A supporting booklet will list the participants and will be regularly updated as more benefits are added to the program.*
Members will also get discounts at planned major events organized by the Club, during the year starting with a Year of the Rabbit Feast at the Madame Chang restaurant to mark Chinese New Year on February 2 and including a Royal Wedding splash in April, Canada Day. Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations…, a fun packed year.
Roma Antica, around the corner from the Marriott Hotel and Casino will be providing three specially priced menus from $15 to $30 for those wishing to eat after the reception. It will also be providing very drinkable wines at record low prices.
Anyone planning on eating should contact the organizers to obtain a table reservation for after the opening events.
