A wet ‘dry season’ ahead for Panama

If you are living in Panama and looking forward to the hot dry days of summer, you are going to have to wait

 After the wettest year in memory with over 60,000 people impacted by flooding, the rains are forecast to continue until March. They usually end in mid-December

The gloomy news comes from meteorologists with electrical transmission company Etesa above average rainfall is forecast for the "dry season."
Meteorologist Berta Olmedo said that sporadic rainfall will be experienced throughout the country through the end of March.

Arturo Alvarado, head of civil defense agency Sinaproc, said that 2010 has been the "wettest year" in recent memory. {jathumbnail off}
