Ministry investigating students in bus affair
Panama’s Ministry of Education has initiated investigations to determine the responsibilities of each of the 8 students in the schools of Arts Crafts and Commerce in Panama, who were allegedly involved in improper acts aboard a bus, after participating in a walk on the beach.
Mario Bolivar, director of the Ministry’s Student Affairs division, said that according to early results, 7 girls and 1 boy could be punished with a three-day suspension or expulsion from school.
In the event of a suspension, it will be the responsibility of the institution to relocate the student to another campus because they are minors and cannot lose their right to study.
Bolivar said that the Ministry will send a counselor to the school to give parents and students psychological counseling.
